Build Credit With Every Purchase

If your credit needs a little work before you’re ready for our traditional rewards card, a Secured Visa® credit card may be the right solution for you.

With a secured card, you set the limit. Just make a deposit into a Seattle Credit Union savings account for the amount you’d like your limit to be: $250, $500, or $750. We put a hold on the funds as long as the card is open. You use the card just like you would any other credit card.

Rates range from 12.24% to 27.24% APR, just like our Rewards Credit Card.

Manage Your Balance

As you use your Secured Credit Card and payoff the balance, you’ll be building a positive payment history, which can improve your credit score. Once your credit improves, you can apply for a Seattle Credit Union Rewards Credit Card.

Secured Against Fraud

Our Secured Credit Card comes with all of the security features of our Rewards Credit Card, including an EMV chip for improved security when you use it at local merchants.

It also comes with the Seattle CU Card Control app which allows you to deactivate your credit card when you aren’t using it. It also lets you set where your card can be used, for how much, and at which merchants. You have complete control.

You can also enroll your Secured Credit Card in Visa Checkout, which improves security when using your card for online purchases.
