Employee Benefits

Seattle Credit Union provides competitive base pay to our team members—and we regularly monitor our Base Pay Program to ensure we remain competitive. Compensation is reviewed annually and is a reflection of individual, team, and/or credit union performance. Seattle Credit Union also provides incentive awards to staff who meet or exceed service targets and organizational performance goals.

Seattle Credit Union supports and invests in our employees. We offer many great benefits, including low-cost medical contributions and zero contributions for dental and vision plans. Additionally, SCU offers a generous paid time off program and a 401k plan with a dollar-for-dollar employer match up to 5%.

401k Retirement
Seattle Credit Union staff may contribute up to the yearly IRS maximum of their pre-tax earnings (plus any applicable catch-up contributions for employees over the age of 50) to the 401(k) retirement plan.

401k Match
Seattle Credit Union matches each staff member’s elected contribution with a total maximum of 5%, and employees are 100% vested after 3 years of service. Employees also can elect a Roth 401k option, if eligible.

Paid Personal Leave
Full-time and part-time employees accrue paid personal leave from the beginning of employment to cover vacations and sick leave.

  • Up to 18 days a year for full-time staff.
  • Up to 9 days/year for part-time staff.
  • Time off accrual increases after every cumulative five years.

Floating Holidays
Staff members also accrue floating holidays each year.

  • Four floating holidays for full-time staff.
  • Two floating holidays for part-time staff.

  • Christmas Eve, we close at Noon
  • Christmas Day

Volunteer Time
Staff are encouraged to find and match with opportunities to volunteer with community organizations.

  • Up to 16 hours for full-time employees
  • Up to eight hours for part-time employees

Birthday Time Off
Staff are allotted a day off around their birthday, celebrate you with some well-deserved time off.

Paid Training
Seattle Credit Union is committed to the training and development of employees, in alignment with our mission and values. Internal resources are focused on technical and workplace skills training.

Tuition Reimbursement
Seattle Credit Union is proud to provide up to $5,250 per year ($2,625 for part-timers) in tuition reimbursement to staff members attending college/university courses in their pursuit of a degree and/or professional education.

We are inclusive

As part of our mission, we have several programs to foster opportunities and celebrate our uniqueness. Programs such as our Unfiltered Conversations with Leadership, Cafe Prosper, DEIP Dive training sessions, community volunteering, and the current Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), as shared in this list.

AAIP

Our AAIP Employee Resource Group (ERG) is an opportunity for employees to connect with others who identify as Asian American or Pacific Islander or are connected to these communities. This ERG provides an opportunity to share experiences, advocate for the AAIP community, and share and celebrate a diverse group of cultures.

Black Prosperity Coalition

Provide networking and professional development opportunities. Celebrate our success, our shared and diverse culture, and our community. We work together for change and to discuss current and historical struggles, topics pertaining to racism, and to develop mentoring opportunities.

LatinX

Our LatinX ERG is a space created for the mutual sharing of ideas, resources, and knowledge. In addition to professional development, we discuss identify issues, celebrate our shared and diverse cultures, work with our community, and most importantly strive to be en familia!

Pride

Our Pride ERG is a community for our LGBTQIA+ employees and their allies. Supporting personal and professional development, opportunities to advocate for change, community event coordination opportunities, and celebrate our authentic selves. Join us!

Womxn’s Allyship

Our Womxn’s Allyship Employee Resource Group (ERG) is designed to offer support, mentorship, and advocacy to women in the workplace and their ally partners. This program aims to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for self-identified female employees.
