Seattle Credit Union is a not-for-profit credit union that is owned by its membership, not shareholders as in the case of for-profit corporations. The credit union membership elects a set number of board members to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors oversees the governance of the credit union, ensuring it operates in alignment with established policies and fulfills its fiduciary responsibilities on behalf of the membership. This oversight is carried out through a number of board sub-committees, which may occasionally include non-elected volunteers or advisors who bring valuable expertise and perspective.

Meet the Audit Committee
Our Audit Committee reviews the financial and operational audits of the credit union, and serves as the tellers of the annual election. The Audit Committee is available to review any questions or concerns regarding the safety and soundness of the credit union.
