Grow Your Savings Faster

As your savings grow, you’ll want to start looking at ways to make them work for you by earning a little higher interest. That’s a great time to open a Money Market account. Money Market accounts require a little more to open (at least $1,000), but they give you a better return than a regular savings account. As your balance reaches certain levels, you’ll get an even better interest rate. That helps you grow your savings even faster.

When it’s time to use the funds in your money market account, you can transfer funds to your checking account.

Harness the Power of Automatic Savings

One easy way to grow your money market faster is to set up an automatic transfer from each paycheck into your money market account. Since the money isn’t going into your checking account, you won’t miss it and you’ll be making steps toward securing your financial future.

Many financial institutions limit the withdrawals you can make from your savings and money market accounts. Currently, that limit is six (6) withdrawals per month, unless you make them at a branch, at an ATM, by mail or messenger, or by phone where a check is mailed to your address of record. You can also make unlimited transfers to Seattle Credit Union loans.

Once you reach your withdrawal limit, you may be prevented from making further withdrawals or be assessed a fee for future withdrawals. See details about our money market accounts here.

Kit B.

I love this credit union! Their staff has to be the best, most responsive and positive people I have ever worked with as a customer. It’s refreshing to feel so well taken care of after having worked in the support business for so many years. Their offerings are incredibly fair and I’ve migrated numerous accounts to them!

Robert M.

This is the best credit union. Fast, friendly, and very knowledgeable.
