Need to know

For Existing Online Banking Users

REQUIRED: Members must ADD A PHONE NUMBER to their account

Enhanced security protocols will require a two-factor authentication process – via email and a current phone number. This extra step keeps your data safe. To add a phone number to your account:

1. Log on to your Online Banking account

2. Click [SERVICES], then [ADDRESS CHANGE]

3. Add/update current address and telephone

For EXISTING PERSONAL online banking accounts – you will need to download the new Seattle Credit Union App from Google Play or the App Store to access Seattle Credit Union Online Banking via your mobile device or tablet.

Personal Online Banking

For EXISTING PERSONAL online banking accounts – during your first visit, you will be prompted to change your password. Your list of Bill Pay merchants and any scheduled transfers within your SCU accounts (ie: from your SCU checking to your SCU savings once a month) will automatically move into the new system. You will not need to do anything! Conversely, any scheduled payments to other SCU members (ie: spouse or friend) or outside SCU (ie: to a non-member or a different financial institution) will need to be re-established with the new two-factor authentication, for enhanced security.

 

Business Online Banking

For EXISTING Business online banking accounts – you will be contacted by a Seattle Credit Union Business Banking Specialist to help facilitate the transition to the new Online Banking system. Time will be allotted for you to transfer pertinent information to the new Online Banking system PRIOR to the go-live date of July 8. This will ensure a seamless transition.

If you have an EXISTING BUSINESS & PERSONAL accounts – please note: beginning with the new system on July 8, any payments made with online Bill Pay will show the payer as your personal name, not your business.

For example, if John Doe owns ABC Business and has a hybrid account, any use of online Bill Pay will go to the recipient from "John Doe." It is not possible to show payment from "ABC Business" from an individual account. If that is okay with you, there is no action required. If not, please create a separate Business account.

NOTE: SCU recommends personal and business accounts use a separate login in order to leverage additional features and benefits designed for each. If you have a hybrid account, now is a good time to create a separate login.

Quickbooks, quicken, and mint users

If you use QuickBooks, Quicken, or Mint, you'll need to take action by July 6th or your service may be interrupted. Account aggregation will be unavailable until July 15th.

STREAMLINED VIEWING OF ALL YOUR ACCOUNTS

Intuitive functionality makes it easy to view and manage your accounts, card controls and in-app alerts. You can check your balance, pay bills, transfer funds between SCU accounts and more.

ZELLE LETS YOU SEND/RECEIVE MONEY TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN MINUTES

Zelle is a quick, safe, easy way to transfer funds person-to-person. Instead of bringing a paycheck into the branch and separating out payments, now you can do it in just a few clicks without having to set up autopay.

If you are NEW to Zelle it's easy to set up. We'll provide a short SCU HOW2 video to walk you through the steps.

If you currently use Zelle with another financial institution, you have a choice to keep it there or move it to SCU – but Zelle can only be tied to one financial institution at a time. We recommend Zelle be tied to your primary account(s) used to transfer funds to friends and family (ie: primary checking or savings)

 

ACTIVATE A TRAVEL NOTICE OR SKIP-A-PAY WITH ONE CLICK

You can set a Travel Notice so SCU is not surprised to see credit or debit card purchases from an unusual location. And our anytime Skip-A-Pay program allows you to skip up to two monthly payments in a 12-month period on certain SCU loans. Starting July 8, both of these can be done with a simple click in Online Banking or the SCU app. No need to call or visit a branch.

What are the minimum operating system requirements for online and mobile banking?

• The SCU mobile app requires a minimum of iOS 12 or Android 6.0

• The SCU mobile browser requires a minimum of iOS 11.4 and Android 7.0

• SCU online banking supports the most recent two versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox browsers
